Punjab University Lahore was established in 1882 and it was the fourth university, which British Colonial system established in Indo Pak sub Continent. University of the Punjab is established in Lahore and its three campuses are set up in Jhelum, Khanspur and Gujranwala. There are 13 faculties in Punjab University along with 10 constituent colleges and 73 departments, institutes and centers. Punjab University employs 808 faculty members in all of the departments. About 36000 students are getting education in different faculties and colleges of Punjab University. It has two noble award winner laureates named Dr Abdus Salam and Har Gobind Khorana.
